Upholstered domestic seating (sofas, office chairs) often contains fire retardants (dec-BDE). These MUST be destroyed via incineration and cannot be landfilled or recycled under the current regulatory framework.
Technical Note: The digital tracking system will require specific EWC codes and flagging for POPs-compliant incineration routes starting in 2026.
