Cookie Policy
Wasters Limited · Last updated 17 September 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar storage we use on wasters.io, including the Wasters application at wasters.io/app. It sits alongside our Privacy Notice.
On this page
1. Your choice
We set only strictly necessary cookies and storage until you tell us otherwise. Analytics and advertising are switched off unless you turn them on.
When you first visit, we ask. You can:
- Accept all — turn on analytics and advertising
- Reject all — keep only what is strictly necessary
- Manage settings — choose analytics and advertising separately
Rejecting is one click, in the same place and with the same prominence as accepting. Rejecting does not limit anything you can do on the site or in the application.
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. That reopens the choices with your current settings shown, on both the website and the application. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent.
One choice covers both. The website and the application are on the same address, so a choice you make in one is respected in the other. We store it in your browser under wasters_cookie_consent, together with the date you made it, so we have a record of what you chose and when.
2. Strictly necessary
These are needed for the site and application to work, so they are always on. They do not need your consent and cannot be switched off.

5. Content embedded from other companies
Some pages include content hosted by other companies. We do not load it until you ask for it.
- Where
- Calendly — booking a demonstration
- What happens
- The booking window does not load until you click to open it. When you do, Calendly loads, sets its own cookies, shows its own privacy notice, and receives what you type into the booking form
- Where
- YouTube — our demonstration video
- What happens
- We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, which does not set storage until you press play
These are each company's own cookies, set under their own policies, not ours.
6. Where the data goes
Google Analytics and Google Ads send data to Google, which may process it outside the United Kingdom. Calendly and YouTube are United States companies. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle transfers outside the UK, and lists everyone we share data with.
7. Managing cookies in your browser
Your choice on this site is the simplest way to control what we set. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you clear stored data for a single site.
Browser settings are not a substitute for the choice above — blocking cookies there will not by itself stop other kinds of storage, and blocking strictly necessary storage will stop you signing in.
8. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when what we set changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we add a new category of cookie, we will ask for your choice again rather than assuming your previous answer covers it.
9. Questions and complaints
Email info@wasters.io.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, tell us and we will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you the outcome. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at any time — see our Privacy Notice for details.
