1. Scope of Service

Wasters provides a digital platform for waste tracking, permit management, and regulatory compliance reporting. While our system is designed to facilitate environmental "Duty of Care" obligations, the User remains legally responsible for the accuracy of their filings under UK law.

2. Intellectual Property

Platform Ownership: Wasters retains all rights to the software, algorithms, and interface.
Data Ownership: You retain full ownership of all waste movement and organisational data entered into the platform. We hold a limited licence to process this data solely to provide the services you have requested.

3. Acceptable Use

Users must not attempt to reverse engineer the platform, share credentials across multiple legal entities, or use the system for fraudulent regulatory reporting, or perform automated scraping without explicit authorisation.

4. Subscription & Cancellation (DMCC Act 2024)

  • One-Click Cancellation: You can terminate your subscription at any time via your Organisation Settings.
  • Renewal Notifications: For recurring plans, we provide a 7-day reminder before any subscription renewal.
  • No Traps: We maintain a transparent pricing policy with no hidden lock-ins.

5. Limitation of Liability

In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, our liability is limited to the functionality of the software. Wasters is not responsible for indirect losses or regulatory fines arising from user-entered data inaccuracies.

6. Data Portability & Exit

Upon termination, you have a 30-day window to export your compliance records in CSV format. Following this period, data will be securely deleted in line with our retention policy.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
